TOFU BACON
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 2 slices
Total Servings: 8
Ingredients:
14oz extra firm tofu
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp Truvia Brown sugar (or regular brown sugar)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).In a large, sealable container, combine all the marinade ingredients.
- Once the tofu is drained, cut it into 16 slices. To do this, cut the block in half horizontally, then continue cutting each section in half until you have evenly sized slices.
- Add the tofu slices to the container, seal it, and gently turn it upside down, shaking lightly to ensure all pieces are coated in the marinade.
- Let the tofu marinate for at least 10 minutes, or up to 8 hours (or overnight for deeper flavor).
- When ready to cook, line a baking sheet with foil and line the tofu slices in a single layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through.
